On June 8, Gonggong Co., Ltd. won first place at the ‘2022 Gwanak S-Valley Demo Day TOUR1’ held at the Nakseong Venture Startup Center in Gwanak-gu, receiving the top honor, the Mayor’s Award.
The ‘2022 Gwanak S-Valley Demo Day TOUR’ is part of the ongoing ‘Gwanak S-Valley’ initiative, which aims to transform Gwanak-gu into a venture and startup-friendly district where universities, businesses, and the local community coexist and thrive. The event, organized in collaboration with the startup consulting firm Ground Up Ventures Co., Ltd., will be held six times until December this year, providing local startups with expanded opportunities to attract investment. The demo day features presentations and evaluations of six selected startups, along with one-on-one networking opportunities with investors.
Gonggong Co., Ltd., which won the Mayor’s Award, earned the right to participate in the Gwanak S-Valley Festival Demo Day and received a waiver for the document screening process for the Startup Scale-up Program. Recognized for its water-based eco-friendly air purification technology, Gonggong provides safe and sustainable indoor air quality management solutions and has been selected as a TIPS (Tech Incubator Program for Startups) company by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. The company has developed the Swasher, an eco-friendly air purifier that leverages water to address both environmental and energy concerns, showcasing its exceptional growth potential.
Swasher is gaining significant attention from consumers due to its low maintenance design, requiring only a simple weekly rinse of the water tank instead of filter replacements. It also operates at a low noise level of 33dB and consumes only one-third of the power of conventional air purifiers. The product is currently available online through Naver Smart Store, Today’s House, Lotte ON, Coupang, and Wadiz.
Earlier this year, Swasher achieved international recognition by winning the CES Innovation Award in January and the Asia Design Prize in February. Based on these achievements, the company has secured investment from the Silicon Valley-based accelerator ‘KSWAN VENTURES, INC.’ and is actively working on expanding into the U.S. market.

Gonggong Co., Ltd. was selected as a resident company of the Seoul National University Campus Town startup competition, receiving benefits such as free office space in Gwanak-gu, support for investor relations (IR) and demo day participation, and access to technical collaboration with SNU professors.
The ‘2022 Gwanak S-Valley Demo Day TOUR’ is a demo day event held in collaboration with the startup consulting firm Ground Up Ventures Co., Ltd. as part of the Gwanak S-Valley initiative. This initiative is a long-term project by Gwanak-gu aimed at transforming the district into a venture and startup-friendly city, where universities, businesses, and the local community can coexist and grow together.
The event is scheduled to take place six times until December this year, with the goal of significantly expanding investment opportunities for local venture and startup companies.
