Gonggong’s Swasher has been selected as a Good Design (GD) product in the Product Design category at the 2022 Good Design Korea awards, as announced on the 22nd.
Hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy and organized by the Korea Institute of Design Promotion, the Good Design (GD) Selection is a design certification system that has been conducted annually since 1985 under the Industrial Design Promotion Act. Through a comprehensive evaluation of a product's appearance, functionality, materials, and economic feasibility, this system grants the GD (Good Design) mark, a government-certified symbol, to products that demonstrate design excellence.
The product design concept of Gonggong’s Swasher eliminates the cost burden of filter replacements while ensuring hygienic maintenance with a transparent design that enhances user trust and serves as an interior decoration feature, setting it apart from conventional air purifiers. Additionally, the design incorporates a mood function, allowing users to enjoy a rainbow vortex effect while experiencing clean, purified air.
By utilizing eco-friendly air purification technology with water, Swasher provides a safe and sustainable indoor air quality management solution, addressing issues related to resource consumption, waste incineration, and environmental pollution caused by disposable filters. Its low maintenance cost also contributes to eliminating blind spots in indoor air pollution, reinforcing its innovative approach.
